HEICtoJPG Pro provides a free, browser-based image conversion utility that enables users to convert HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) and HEIF (High Efficiency Image Format) files — commonly produced by Apple iPhone and iPad cameras — into widely compatible formats including JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WEBP.

The Service operates exclusively on the client side, meaning all image processing is performed locally within your web browser using WebAssembly technology. No image files, file contents, or file metadata are transmitted to, processed by, or stored on any server operated by HEICtoJPG Pro or any third party.

Key characteristics of the Service include:

• Completely Free: The Service is provided at no charge. There are no premium tiers, subscriptions, paywalls, or hidden fees of any kind.
• No Registration Required: You are not required to create an account, provide an email address, or register in any way to use the Service. Anonymous access is fully supported.
• No File Upload: Your image files are never uploaded to any external server. All conversion occurs entirely within your browser's local memory using the WebAssembly runtime.
• No File Size Limits: The Service does not impose artificial restrictions on file size or batch quantity, subject only to the available memory and computational resources of your local device and browser.
• Batch Processing: Multiple HEIC/HEIF files may be queued and converted simultaneously in a single browser session, with the option to download all converted outputs as a single ZIP archive.
• Output Quality Control: Users may adjust the output compression quality and select from supported target formats (JPG, PNG, WEBP) prior to conversion.
• Cross-Platform: The Service is designed to function in any modern web browser on any operating system that supports WebAssembly, including but not limited to Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, iPadOS, and Android.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you or any third party. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts or all of the Service at our sole discretion.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, materials, code, design elements, graphics, text, logos, icons, user interface layouts, and features of the Website and Service — including but not limited to the HEICtoJPG Pro name, logo, and brand identity — are the exclusive intellectual property of HEICtoJPG Pro and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service strictly for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any portion of the Website or Service for commercial purposes;
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Website or Service;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service (except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable open-source licenses governing third-party components used by the Service);

Your Content: You retain full ownership of any image files you select for processing through the Service. Because all processing occurs entirely within your local browser and no files are uploaded to our servers, HEICtoJPG Pro does not acquire any rights, license, or interest in your image files at any time. We make no claim to your images or their intellectual property.

Third-Party Open Source Components: The Service uses certain open-source software libraries, including heic2any and JSZip, which are subject to their respective open-source licenses. These licenses are separate from and independent of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms restricts your rights under any applicable open-source license.

4. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Uses

You are solely responsible for your use of the Service and for any images or other content you process through it. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years of age, or, if you are under 13, you have obtained verifiable parental consent as required by applicable law;
• You own the images you process, or you have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and consents from the rights holders to process those images using our Service;
• Your use of the Service does not violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law, regulation, or treaty;
• You will not use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Website or its infrastructure, or interfere with any other user's enjoyment of the Service.

You agree that you will not use the Service to:

• Process, convert, or distribute images that infringe upon any third party's copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, moral rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any other intellectual property or proprietary rights;
• Process obscene, pornographic, defamatory, abusive, threatening, hateful, or otherwise objectionable images, or images depicting illegal activity;
• Process images of minors in a sexually explicit or exploitative manner, or any content that violates child protection laws;
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Website or any associated network or system, or breach any security or authentication measures;
• Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other non-human means to access or interact with the Website in a manner that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure;
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with HEICtoJPG Pro or any other organization;
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the Service, or which, in our judgment, exposes HEICtoJPG Pro or its users to any liability or reputational harm;
• Use the Service to develop a competing product or service, or to benchmark the Service against a competitor without our prior written consent.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to take any action we deem appropriate in response to violations of these prohibitions, including but not limited to blocking access to the Service from specific IP addresses or geographic regions.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HEICtoJPG Pro expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to:

• Any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement;
• Any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, timely, or free of viruses or other harmful components;
• Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or suitability of results produced by the Service;
• Any warranty that defects or errors in the Service will be corrected;
• Any warranty that the Service will meet your specific requirements or produce output compatible with any particular software, platform, or use case.

The conversion quality of output files may vary depending on the complexity of the source HEIC file, available browser memory, hardware capabilities, and the specific browser and version used. HEICtoJPG Pro makes no guarantee regarding the fidelity, color accuracy, metadata preservation, or file size of converted images.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HEICTOJPG PRO, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities;
• Loss, corruption, or alteration of image files or other data processed through the Service;
• Cost of procurement of substitute services or goods;
• Personal injury or property damage arising from your use of or inability to use the Service;
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data;
• Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted to or through the Service by any third party;
• Any errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in the output produced by the Service;
• Any interruption, suspension, or cessation of the Service.

These exclusions apply regardless of the legal theory (whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and regardless of whether HEICtoJPG Pro has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Because the Service is provided entirely free of charge and no payment is exchanged, and because all image processing occurs locally on your device without any server-side involvement, the aggregate liability of HEICtoJPG Pro for any claims arising out of or relating to your use of the Service shall not exceed USD $0.00 (zero dollars).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HEICtoJPG Pro and its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees and court costs — arising out of or relating to:

• Your use of or access to the Service, including any conversion or processing of image files;
• Your violation of any provision of these Terms;
• Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right, including but not limited to any intellectual property right, privacy right, or right of publicity;
• Any image files or content you process through the Service, including claims that such files infringe upon the rights of any third party;
• Any fraudulent, deceptive, negligent, or willful conduct by you in connection with the Service;
• Any dispute between you and any third party arising from your use of the Service.

We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which event you agree to fully cooperate with us and provide reasonable assistance in asserting any available defenses. You shall not settle any claim without our prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

The Service incorporates certain open-source third-party JavaScript libraries to facilitate image processing and file packaging. Specifically:

• heic2any — An open-source WebAssembly-powered library used to decode HEIC/HEIF image files within the browser. This library is distributed under the MIT License and is loaded from the jsDelivr CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net). No image data is transmitted to jsDelivr; only the library code itself is fetched.
• JSZip — An open-source JavaScript library used to package multiple converted image files into a downloadable ZIP archive within the browser. This library is distributed under the MIT License and is loaded from Cloudflare's CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). No image data is transmitted to Cloudflare via this library.
• Google Fonts — Web font files (Inter and Outfit typefaces) are loaded from Google's Fonts infrastructure (fonts.googleapis.com). Standard CDN request metadata (e.g., IP address, browser user-agent) may be transmitted to Google as part of this request. This is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

The Website may also contain hyperlinks to external websites or services that are not owned or controlled by HEICtoJPG Pro. These links are provided for informational convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation of those external sites, their content, or their operators.

HEICtoJPG Pro has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, terms, or availability of any external websites or services linked from the Website. By using the Service, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.

• No sale, lease, or commercial transfer of any user data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes;

• Converted files are downloaded directly to your local device and are not retained on our servers.

Because HEICtoJPG Pro does not collect user email addresses or other contact information, we are unable to notify users of changes via direct communication. 11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which HEICtoJPG Pro is operated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions or your actual state, country, or territory of residence.

Informal Resolution: Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at legal@heictojpgconverter.pro and provide a written description of your complaint. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within a reasonable period, typically 30 days.

Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the applicable arbitration rules. The arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis; you and HEICtoJPG Pro each waive the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.

Exceptions: Either party may seek emergency injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration. Claims for intellectual property infringement may also be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Waiver of Jury Trial: To the extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any right to a trial by jury in any action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

If any provision of the dispute resolution provisions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
